Doing good in 2018

A rising tide lifts all boats – John F. Kennedy

At Look East, we like to encourage a culture of giving. Sometimes it is in the form of helping a colleague in a pinch or giving attention to work/life balance. Other times it’s donating time to a greater cause.

Each year, as part of the 50 // $500 program, when employees volunteer 50 hours of their personal time to a cause or organization, Look East provides a $500 gift in their name, to the organization. In 2018, three employee owners were recognized for their contributions.

The organization is a group of local Lincoln, Nebraska United States Marine Corps veterans who raise money, solicit furnishings and organize volunteers to furnish apartments in a new homeless veterans complex near Lincoln’s VA hospital. Learn more about the program efforts here.
