Look East Promotes Beck

Roxi Beck is the new president of Look East, a strategic communications firm that helps its clients in food and agriculture earn trust. Beck, who previously served in the role of vice president, joined Look East in 2007 and has received industry-wide recognition for her leadership and strategic insight.

“Roxi is a trusted advisor to food system thought leaders and helps them think differently about how they engage their stakeholders to build trust,” said Charlie Arnot, Look East founder and CEO.

“It’s an honor to serve as president of an organization focused on moving the food system forward,” said Beck. “I’m continually inspired by the vision and perseverance of those who play a role in the food system, and I feel privileged to help them connect the dots and address the pressure points shaping the industry.”

In her new position, Beck will continue to lead Look East’s client-facing teams and play a growing role in the company’s long-term strategy.

Beck received bachelor’s degrees in psychology and public relations from Coe College. She serves on the board for Iowa State University’s Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative, is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, and is past-president of the National Agri-Marketing Association’s Iowa Chapter. In 2016, Beck was one of food Processing’s Kick-Ass Women in the food and Beverage Industry.

Arnot founded Look East in 2004 to empower those in food and agriculture to build trust in their people, products, processes and brands. Look East clients include global retailers, food companies, agribusinesses, thought-leading industry organizations and national and state-based agricultural associations. Services include communication strategy, issue and stakeholder research, reputation management, branding and public relations.
