Account Executive / Project Manager

Help Shape the Future of Food & Agriculture with Look East

Position Title: Account Executive / Project Manager 

Reports to: Senior Account Director 

Supervises: N/A 

Classification: Exempt 

Position Purpose: Provides day-to-day service to clients and internal teams, supporting Look East account leads to ensure effective execution of strategic communication and public relations projects that support clients’ business objectives.

Essential Functions

Client Programs & Project Teams

  • Provide day-to-day project management and execution of client work, progress reviews, timelines and budgets
  • Track and coordinate project action plans, timelines and deliverables 
  • Schedule and summarize client and internal team meetings 
  • Gather data, draft reports and project summaries, and provide program results tracking specific to client projects and objectives
  • Serve as steward for budget development, tracking and invoice review 
  • Coordinate with project-specific vendors, contractors and internal teams 
  • Provide support and assistance as assigned to initiate and secure new business through marketing, proposal development and business acquisition (new projects, renewal and cross-selling) 

Business Operations

  • Complete time and expense entry
  • Leverage internal systems to manage projects
  • Review and approve client and contractor invoices for accuracy and completeness
  • Write and edit reports, proposals and general business correspondence
  • Present information and ideas in one-on-one and group situations, both internally and to current/prospective clients, while adapting to the unique needs of each audience
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed

Skills, Experience, Educational & Other Requirements

  • Expertise in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams/SharePoint, Outlook and applications
  • Expertise in project management software, Monday.com or Asana preferred
  • Familiarity with HubSpot preferred
  • Familiarity with WordPress preferred
  • Familiarity with FunctionPoint or similar time management system

Experience

  • 3-5+ years of progressive and directly relatable work experience
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Educational background and/or previous work experience in Business, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or relatable field strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study required
  • Experience and Educational Requirements may be satisfied with equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstration of effective project management skills
  • Previous work experience with corporate communications, food system, , agriculture industry, commodities, and/or consumer products is helpful

  • Completes all responsibilities in a timely, accurate and effective manner to meet organizational and client goals, while also achieving billable targets.
  • Executes project plans in collaboration with project teams, achieving desired project outcomes in accordance with timelines and budgets.
  • Builds and maintains appropriate internal and client relationships; addressing concerns as needed and in a timely manner.
  • Supports client programs and leads specific tactical elements in accordance with program objectives, budget, timelines and deadlines.
