Jana McGuire

Jana helps clients reach their most important audiences with the right approaches and messages that earn trust through her writing, training, video and creative strategy. She is known as the Look East night owl for her habit of working into the early morning hours – so don’t be surprised if an email comes through at 2 a.m.

Music is her side gig. Beginning at the age of nine, Jana played alongside Mom, Dad and her sisters in the family band for 21 years. They were a bit like the Partridge Family – only, instead of a spacious bus, they traveled in a white station wagon with wooden side panels. She continues to play music today while waiting for her invitation for a residency at the Vegas Sphere.

Career Background

Following an early career as a radio and TV reporter, Jana worked in public relations at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She then launched a freelance business, serving as a writer, video producer and on-camera/voice-over talent for local and national clients that included ABC, NBC, Extra and America’s Most Wanted. Jana also served as an adjunct professor, teaching broadcasting and writing courses for the College of Journalism and Mass Communications – where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Organizations

Jana is a proud board member of the Git-R-Done Golf Classic, supporting children’s and veterans’ causes, as well as Lincoln’s Big Gumdrop Outdoors, whose mission is to nurture a love of the outdoors with area youth.

No stranger to the stage, Jana thrives on sharing trust-earning approaches and industry insights as a veteran presenter and trainer. Whether she’s in front of local commodity groups or large crowds at corporate events and conferences, Jana engages audience in a way that helps them think differently and leave with new strategies to put into action.
